Malawi Ranked Poorly on Power Sector: "Malawi has been ranked as the fifth on the list of worst performing nations in power supply in the world.
This is according to a list released by the Spectator Index for the year 2017.
According to the list, of the 137 listed countries, Yemen is the worst electricity supply nation, followed by Nigeria, Haiti and Lebanon.
Malawi has been going through persistent power outages due to what authorities say are low levels of water in Lake Malawi."
