Planning Commission revives sector working groups – The Nation Online: National Planning Commission (NPC) has reconstituted Sector Working Groups (SWGs) which were established in 2008 but have been inactive.

The National Planning Commission (NPC), a body that nill be formulating long-term national vision and strategy
for socio-economic development, says it nill hasten in identifying quick nin projects to generate momentum and
confidence to the country's economy.
NPC chairperson Richard Mkandavvire, a socio-economist and rural development expert, said in an interview on
Wednesday that Malani has the human capital and untapped natural resources that have the potential to boost
socio-economic development and change the narrative for the country as one of the poorest in the world.
