Ministry to improve power supply: "Ministry of Energy And Mining has disclosed by mid next year, the country will have 100 additional megawatts of electricity added to the national electricity grid using solar power.
Minister responsible Mr. Atupele Muluzi said after visiting Mkula Power Hydro power station that government is devising other sources of energy to meet the national demand of electricity.
So far he said his ministry has secured 100 million United States Dollars for 50 megawatts out of the 100 megawatts to be produced using solar."
