Fuel Prices Go Up: Fuel prices have gone up effective May 7, 2015, the Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) has announced.
Petrol is now selling K723.60 from K 696.30; diesel is now at K 734.60 from K 705.50; paraffin is now selling at K 633.20 from K 609.30.
A statement from MERA says the rise is as a result of increased importation costs for petrol, diesel and paraffin in the month of April 2015, when compared to the average of January.
The important prices for petrol, diesel and paraffin, said MERA, have increased by 32.97 %, 16.43% and 13.99% respectively
