Five years after the enactment of an anti-money laundering legislation in Malawi, the country is yet to prosecute even a single person on anti-money laundering charges, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) has disclosed.

Meanwhile, the FIU has convened a workshop in Mangochi where stakeholders are undertaking money laundering risk assessment exercise that would establish the country's weak areas amid efforts to combat the vice"
