Trade balance to narrow by Dec-IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has projected the country's trade balance—the difference between a

country's imports and its exports for a given time period—to narrow to 7.8 percent of the gross domestic

product (GDP) this year.

As compared to the previous year, there is a decline of 3.1 percentage points from 10.9 percent on account of

reduced exports.
