Malawi governement optimistic on 6.1% growth - BNL Times: "Minister of Finance Maxwell Mkwezalamba is upbeat the Malawi economy will grow by 6.1 percent in 2014, despite several factors such as withdrawal of aid from development partners and the suspension of mining activities at Kayerekera Uranium mine in Karonga, which could hamper progress.
Speaking to the media recently, Mkwezalamba said that the country is experiencing some economic stability following measures the government put in place but some economic commentators have since observed that the country may not be able to make the target as it is currently facing several derailing factors."
