The Malawi government says it has entered into talks with regional neighbours to make its planned tea auction market an international market for various countries in the region.

Speaking on the sidelines of the 2014 charity tea auction in Blantyre on Monday, Minister of Industry and Trade Sosten Gwengwe said the plan is now to develop the Limbe Tea Action into a multi-country tea market that will act as a hub for the region."
