Mozambican government plans to build Central-North power transmission

The Mozambican government plans to build a new power transmission line linking
the central and northern regions of the country, the national director for
Energy, Pascoal Bacela told Mozambican newspaper Notícias.
According to Bacela, the new line may link up Caia (in Sofala province) with
Nampula and Nacala (Nampula province), and the other possibility is the
Tete-Nampula-Nacala route. The project is currently at the pre-feasibility study
stage.
