The International Monetary Fund programme in Malawi has stalled over policy disagreements and the government's failure to conduct a required review, a fund official said on Tuesday.
IMF representative Ruby Randall was reported as saying that a second review of the $79.4 million (55.3 million euro) Extended Credit Facility approved last year to cushion foreign exchange shortages, was never conducted."
