Paladin defends N-power, warns of supply shock | The Australian



URANIUM miner Paladin has stepped up its criticism of international reporting on the unfolding nuclear crisis in Japan, saying the media is 'obsessed' with the incident and that nuclear power is inherently safe.

The Africa-focused miner also downgraded its annual production guidance, blaming bad weather and fuel shortages at its mines in Namibia and Malawi.

Paladin is among global uranium miners whose shares have been hammered since the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Japan triggered an emergency at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant that has yet to be fully brought under control"
