Maputo — The Malawian government and the Brazilian mining company Vale on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding in the Malawian capital, Lilongwe, on the construction of a new railway across southern Malawi.

The agreement was witnessed by Mozambican Transport Minister Paulo Zucula."

Paladin achieves record uranium sales for March quarter, downgrades guidance

PERTH (miningweekly.com) - ASX- and TSX-listed uranium miner Paladin Energy has reported record uranium sales for the quarter ended March, despite a 4% decrease in production figures.

During the three months to March, Paladin sold around 1,4-million pounds of uranium oxide (U3O8), generating a record revenue of $92,5-million."
