Maputo — The use of the Zambezi river to carry trade between landlocked Malawi and the Indian Ocean depends on environmental and economic viability studies of the navigability of the Zambezi, according to Alvaro dos Santos, the Director for Africa and the Middle East in the Mozambican Foreign Ministry.
