Malawi may be next important coal destination of Africa

Malawi can well turn out to be the next attractive coal destination in Africa after Mozambique, thanks to its huge unexplored deposits. Till very recently, it was Mozambique which was hogging all the attention from many steel and power producing companies, particularly from India. But Malawi looks set to take over very soon. Located in southern Africa, Malawi is attracting global interest owing to its unexplored coal reserves. In fact, Indian companies are also putting some serious thought into coal exploration work in the country.
