Reserve Bank predicts 8 percent growth to 2014
Malawi's annual economic growth over the next four years is forecast to average 8 percent and inflation will likely remain in single digits, Reserve Bank of Malawi Governor Perks Ligoya said on Friday. Ligoya told Reuters that the economy is projected to remain robust in 2009 through to 2014. "In our economic framework with the International Monetary Fund we are projecting robust growth for our economy to average 8 percent up to 2014 and inflation to remain in single digits," Ligoya said in an interview.
